A thank-you to everyone for their creative and financial input towards the studio this year. For the hands constantly progressing the space, bringing visitors to explore and benefit the studio.

On the 12-13th of December Neat had a pretty last minute stand at the Carboot Circus Xmas Fair – the stall looked lovely and we had a really successful 2 days, people where really showing appreciation and interest in the work for sale.

The diversity of all our styles worked well with a little help from the mulled wine!

The Neat Blanket (kindly sewn by lizzy and Chloe) was an added winter warmer and perfect advert.

It would be lovely to showcase all our talents at the next fair – there are talks that the island will hold them regularly – cards postcards and small prints sold really well.

A brilliant chance for making money friends and influencing people!

The sink in the studio, fitted by Jake is working wonders – thank –you so much

The external corridor has the potential to be a striking exhibition space – has begun to be painted and could be easily opened for shows and showings across the days.

Niki Musgrave has had exhibitions with FFAFF at Photographique and Centre Space beautiful images from windswept beaches of England to the heat of Spain and can be spotted around town in her latest documentary of Bristol.

Jon McClaren took an epic collection of images as the island transformed over the Carny Ville nights.

Jamie Harrison and lucy Anne Sale recorded some beautiful tracks with Ben Capp before Christmas, bringing a collection of inspired souls from Coventry with them – jamies album is creeping ever closer to completion from the snippets floating out of Ben’s sound room should be a unique collection of modern day folkery

Re-echo has to move into a bigger space so we will be talking to artspace regarding the rent for his mission control room. and how the artists involved can make their spaces more user friendly.

Mr Ben Capp will be sorely missed although not going far, he his back in his overalls getting dusty overhauling the basement creating studio and rehearsal spaces – pass it on.

He has brought our space alive along with all you musicians who have given us a song.  A hugely motivated man.

10ton tongue exploded their tracks around the station – we got busy in the woods armed with wine, flamenco dresses and a camera and created some hilarious band shots – fingers crossed there application for Glastonbury is successful ( see the 10tontongue myspace if you need some cheering up)

Lizzy got her first proper teaching placement after her long paperwork battle with the offices so a huge well done to the good lady   x x x

Wilf I’m sure is busy dropping poems and paintings (sorry to have only seen you in passing in st pauls)

Life drawing classes have started with Chloe ( and a little bird is whispering we may have the pleasure of her company as a new tennant, i’m whispering this cos i don’t want to jinx it she would be a lovely addition so all my 17 fingers are crossed)

 Looking to the future

If anyone has any ideas about artists who could use a space or photographers in need of darkrooms pass on their details – or any other ideas to use the space

Its cold really cold down there at the moment but has achieved through the talents of all the individuals and artistic missions we are on – a load of beauty and lovely connections

The hope is to take it on the spring and warmer times

 lots of neat love
